Crafty Kismet

When your creative you just have to go with it! I'm a crafty chic, I love earrings and it was a inescapable attraction. Even a few necklaces and bracelets are up for sale. I'll post some of my wares; give me a shout if you'd like to buy any... I don't tack on insane prices. This pair of earrings at left sells for $12. I'll cover the shipping cost.

Another portrait

I took advantage of some free time and got out the pastels. When I think I'm done with a drawing, I leave it on the drawing table for several days or longer and periodically look at it to see what could be improved. This drawing definitely needs more work on the shadowing.

Back to the drawing board

This is a work in progress. A portrait of Jewel, done on Winsor-Newton cold-pressed paper (11"x14" appx.) with willow charcoal. To achieve the rich background I chose compressed charcoal.

It's been awhile since I've taken time to draw, so it's been great to be back at the drawing board... hope I keep it up! I'll upload this drawing when it's completed.

IF :: Pale

All other girls pale in comparison to my niece! Beautiful skin, shiny hair and, oh, those gorgeous eyes!
I love working with pastels. They can be challenging, especially when I do a portrait. At times, things go smoothly and I simply get to enjoy drawing, but there are many times when I struggle with the medium also. When I overcome those challenges life is sweet! Thanx for looking.
